This threaded mechanical cross refers to branch fittings that are mounted on a finished pipeline without cutting it. To install, simply drill a hole in the wall of the galvanized main pipe, secure the product with clamps and connect the threaded branch. The cross is the most convenient fitting for adding branches in fire suppression systems. One side of the product is made in the form of an arched clamp, tightly covering the outer surface of the pipe, the other side is equipped with an internal thread for connecting threaded pipes or sprinklers.
The internal cavity of the clamp is equipped with a sealing ring made of special rubber. After tightening the bolts, the ring fits tightly into the hole, ensuring reliable tightness and resistance to pressure up to 2.5 MPa, which meets the requirements of fire systems. The body is made of high-strength nodular cast iron, which has high strength, resistance to vibration and deformation. Epoxy coating using electrostatic spraying ensures protection against corrosion.
Installation does not require cutting pipes or welding, which significantly reduces reconstruction time. The product is widely used when upgrading fire extinguishing systems in existing buildings, for adding sprinklers to already installed networks, as well as for temporarily connecting branches in water supply and wastewater systems. The cross is fully compatible with all sizes of galvanized steel pipes according to national standards.
