With the full implementation of the revised national standards of "General Standards for Fire Equipment", "Critical Fire Hazard Identification Rules" and other regulations, China's comb fire fittings industry is undergoing a market redistribution in terms of quality and is gaining opportunities for sales expansion. According to market statistics from the first half of 2026, more than 48,000 projects are under construction throughout the country: high-rise buildings, urban integrated pipeline tunnels and industrial parks. Fire piping systems typically use comb joints, and demand for key products – comb clamps and rigid couplings – increased by 12.3% year-on-year.
The new standards significantly increase the requirements for tightness, pressure strength and aging resistance of pipe fittings. When tendering for construction works, mandatory conditions for admission are quality control certificates from the manufacturer and a 3C fire safety certificate. Low quality custom comb fittings are being phased out of the mainstream engineering market. Industry statistics show that the total size of China's domestic comb fitting market will exceed RMB 20.4 billion in 2026, with a stable annual growth rate of 9.3%. The most dynamically growing demand is for clamps made of spherical cast iron with anti-corrosion and earthquake-resistant properties. The largest manufacturers are increasing investments in automated production lines and introducing precision casting technology with epoxy coating. The strength of finished products under pressure is more than 25% higher than traditional analogues, which allows them to be used in difficult conditions of high-rise buildings and underground pipeline tunnels.
Industry analysts predict that in the next 2-3 years, routine inspections of compliance with fire regulations will continue to exclude low-quality products from small artisan producers. Manufacturers of comb fittings with a full cycle of quality control and a full package of permits will occupy a growing segment of the market for municipal facilities, residential buildings and industrial equipment.
