This groove adapter is a key fitting for changing diameter and branching in groove fire extinguishing piping systems. The product is connected using groove couplings and is widely used when installing branches with a transition to a different diameter in fire extinguishing, water supply and drainage systems. The body is made of QT450-12 high-strength nodular cast iron in strict accordance with the national standard GB5135.11-2006 and the American standard ASTM A536. The material has high viscosity, resistance to pressure and deformation, which guarantees reliable operation at the nominal pressure in the system.
O-rings are available in two types: EPDM for fire piping and silicone rubber for potable water, meeting ISO6182 and GB/T17219 requirements. The rings provide a tight seal and are resistant to aging and leakage. Strength grade 8.8 mounting bolts and nuts are made of 45# or 40Cr hot-dip galvanized steel, meeting GB/T3098 requirements.
The outer surface of the fitting is treated by electrostatic spraying with environmentally friendly epoxy powder paint with high-temperature polymerization. The coating is non-toxic, corrosion resistant and complies with drinking water and fire extinguishing piping standards. The grooves at the ends of the product are machined with high precision, which ensures quick installation using couplings without welding. This significantly reduces installation time. The crosspiece is available in various transition combinations and is adapted for pipelines DN65–DN200.
