The new Construction Code of Kazakhstan will come into force on July 1, 2026. The document marks a dramatic transition in the country's construction industry from informal administrative ties to competition based on technical competence and compliance with regulatory requirements. The new code introduces increased fire safety standards for buildings by mandating the installation of automatic sprinkler systems in all new public buildings and residential buildings 10 stories or higher.
To implement the provisions of the new code, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan has updated the standards for the design and installation of fire pipelines, officially recommending a mechanical comb connection instead of traditional welding and threaded joints. Statistics show that the planned volume of housing commissioning in Kazakhstan in 2026 will be 18.5 million square meters. m; In January alone, the commissioning of residential space increased by 42.4% in annual terms. High activity in the construction sector will ensure rapid growth in sales of comb fittings.
