Urban water supply and sewerage networks in Central Asian countries have a high degree of wear and tear and a high percentage of leaks. To improve the quality of water supply to the population and increase the efficiency of water resource use, the governments of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and other countries have launched large-scale projects for the reconstruction of utility pipelines.
The Government of Kazakhstan plans to allocate 20.7 billion tenge for the overhaul of housing and communal infrastructure in the period 2026–2028; the priority area of work is updating water supply and sewerage networks. Comb fittings have clear operational advantages when reconstructing utility networks: the installation speed is 3–5 times higher compared to traditional connection methods, which reduces work time and reduces inconvenience for citizens.
